    "recently started getting error message that mskedit32.dll has caused ..... " an error in what ?
    also are you sure the spelling is correct ?

    "and then my program shuts down" what program's besides aol

    You might want to get an online trojan scan or download a trail
    Free online Trojan Scanner : http://www.trojanscan.com/

    30 day trial.

    done

    okay what next?
    isn't there someway to "pull & load" a fresh copy of a DLL file from the CAB sub-directory?
    i seem to recall it being possible in win 98SE

    also could this be a "bug" in AOL 9.0?

    I cant find any info on mskedit32.dll,, thats why I asked if perhaps you spelled it incorrectly

    could you post its properties and version

    also right click on the desktop in the context menu choose create shortcut, copy past this into the target field then hit next and finish.
    C:\WINDOWS\FAULTLOG.TXT
    open it a and zoom to bottom
    copy past the topmost part of the last error
    should look something like this
    ========
    "Date 12/18/2003 Time 09:56
    ROM2 caused a divide error in module ROM2.EXE" "
    ========
    no need for the other info.
