    Denebuff: Why were you unable to open an .eml file? You don't have XP? I've seen quite a few of the same questions asked by people with .eml problems. Give us some info, maybe we can help others!

    ps...I'm sorry if I've missed the threads with the answers for you, but please resend the solution for us!!Enjoy, George. :)

    For some reason the .eml file association on denebuff's system was not configured properly. The Content Type was missing altogether and the path was incorrectly set. The following is how we were finally able to correct this problem;

    Open Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types. Click on the registered file type associated with the .eml file and then click on the EDIT button.

    In "Description of Type:" enter Outlook Express Mail Message.
    In "Content Type (MIME):" enter message/rfc822
    In "Default Extension:" enter .eml

    The only command listed in the "Actions" box should be OPEN, click on this once and then click on EDIT button

    In "Application Used to Perform this Action" enter
    "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /eml:%1

    The quotation marks before the C and after the .EXE must be included, also there is one space between the last " mark and the /eml:%1

    Click OK to close Edit.

    Make sure the there is a checkmark in Confirm Open After Download and then click CLOSE.

    Hope this helps. :)
