Problems opening Home Page

    Every morning lately as I log on Internet Explorer, instead of opening to Yahoo Home Page, I open up to
    http://fastsearch.cc/
    All saved addresses on the Address Bar are gone. When I open "Tools" and click on "internet options" , Home Page shows
    "about:blank "
    I then manually have to enter my Yahoo Home Page and I'm okay for the rest of the day, closing and opening. But then, in the morning, the routine starts over again.
    I've put a "spy-bot" program in to run and it always shows a problem.
    What is the Story Here? How can I get back to opening up at my home page - Yahoo?

    Hi mbintn,

    Sounds like your browser has been hijacked :(

    Search this forum for other informative threads on this - search term 'hijack'.

    Download and run Spybot and AdAware , update their reference files and run Spybot before AdAware.

    You might also like to download and run Cashredder

    If this does not solve your problem download and run Hijackthis and post the log file here before you delete anything Important

    mbintn - have you let it fix the problem(s) it shows?

    Hi if you do get hijack this there is an option there to lock homepage. However I have always used and recommend this free program (works on XP as well):-

    Thats interesting I know I have not been on this forum for some time but I know I had a lot more posts then 8?
