    Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to networking, and would like to read some resources on the terminology such as "DHCP ", "subnet mask ", and "default gateway ", even the difference (if any) between a "router" and a "hub "!!

I want to set up a home network soon and rather than just plug all the bits together and thank XP Pro for sorting it out, I'd actually like to understand what it all means/does!

Anyone with some links to websites that can enlighten me would be great.

    Thanks,

    Andy.
