OK, don't flame me, but I still use Communicator 4.07 on my Windows box. Basically for Email only since I have all my Email from as far back as 1996 stored in folders. That's the big reason I don't want to upgrade to another mail client.

Anyway, my problem is that recently I lost my Netscape DLL's and had to re-install Netscape 4.07. For some reason it ******* up my 2 user profiles and forced me to re-enter them. I did so using the Profile Manager and copying back the User folder. Somehow during this exercise I mistyped a name and so I ended up having to re-enter a profile. So now I have 3 profiles in my list instead of 2.

I want to remove the mistake profile but I don't know how. The profile manager only lets you create new ones. I tried looking in the Users directory but there are only 2 subdirectories for my 2 real profiles.

So my question is, how does one get rid of the extra profile? Clearly it looks like you have to edit/delete a file but I can't figure out which one.

    TIA

    Tim

    Welcome to the Forum, TexasTim65

    Hi TexasTim65,

You should be able to delete the unwanted Profile using the Profile Manager. See this Screen Shot. Highlight the Profile name, and click on the "Delete" tab.

Are you saying that you have no "Delete" tab showing on the Profile Manager? It has been so long since I used a Communicator Version older than 4.7x, that I have to ask.... ;)

    Let us know,

    Ramona :D
