No Recycle Bin on Desktop

    How can you put a recycle bin on the desktop in XP home edition. There is none there now. It's a friends new computer and it wasn't there when they got the computer.

    Right-click the Desktop, Properties, Desktop tab, Customize button.

    EDIT: PeteC shouldn't be convinced! This is incorrect. Sorry.

    Not convinced that the line given by Abraxas will work - no option in that location to hide/show the Recycle Bin in my XP Pro m/c - may be different in Home.

    Other solution - download TweakuiXP from MS and under Desktop tab check 'Recycle Bin'.

    there is no option to hide or unhide the recycle bin in home edition

    Maybe - but have you followed the link Arie posted? - applies to Home/Pro.

    Pete, i looked at that in my own computer and i don't have the information in mine that they say to put in there and i have a recycle bin on mine??? i could try it anyway though.
