A member of my family needs to make a small program for windows at her school.
She ask me if I can give her an idea about program that will be useful to have.
well I am asking you, if you have a chance to make a program, what would you do?
thank you for your help beforehand.

    What version of windows?

What tools does she have for creating a program?

Would a batch file be good enough? Possibly a little one that could print the contents of a folder (file names) or something similar?

Well, assuming the school has something like MS Office\Excel,
it is always a useful and interesting experience to make an Excel
worksheet. (which produces a Windows program with a little
    help from Microsoft).

    A simple example ...

"My 10 best friends at school "

    Column 1 "Name "
    Column 2 "Boy" = 1, else 0
    Column 3 "Girl" = 1, else 0
Column 4 "Height" in decimal feet
Column 5 "Weight" in decimal pounds

    Then a Total row with
    Column 1 "Totals/Averages "
    Column 2 Number of boys
    Column 3 Number of girls
    Column 4 Average height
    Column 5 Average weight

or something like that. Excel has many extras to make the worksheet look nice. This example allows interaction with classmates, to get their height and weight, so it's a real-life
    "project"
    Good luck !
