Tonight I needed to format a floppy disk. I opened 'My Computer' and right-clicked on A: I got the message: Error opening resource DLL. When I attempted to close that box I got another message: 'The specified module could not be found - C:\progra~1\iomega\common\iomcopydiskshellext.enu.ILSR' Then things freeze and I have to use control-alt-delete. The very same thing happens when I right-click on my Zip Drive icon. I notice that 'iomega' forms part of that thread (I installed an Iomega Zip drive two days ago) so might it be my new drive which is causing the problem? Any thoughts on the situation would be much appreciated. Thank you. :(

By the way, none of my System Restore points work now, which they did originally.

The same error was reported on another board and was fixed by reinstalling the Iomega software.

SUCCESS! Yes, I uninstalled the Iomega software and then reinstalled it again. The result was that whenI right-clicked on the drive icons in 'My Computer' no error messages popped up. When I clicked on the 'File' menu it dropped down and allowed me to choose 'Format'. Many thanks for your help, Miz. :D

Just to follow up on my last posting:

I booted up the following day and right-clicked on 'Floppy' and 'Iomega Zip' in My Computer. The problem was back! I therefore decided to uninstall 'Iomegaware' since this seemed to be the source of the problem. After uninstalling I noticed that the Iomega icon for the zip drive had gone and was replaced with another icon. I now have no problem with my zip drive and all seems to be well after testing over 2 days.
