    Hi All,

I have been away from the BBS for so long that I feel like I have to start all over. sigh

I am looking for a freeware (or a VERY inexpensive shareware) program that will allow me to schedule multiple 'reminders' per month on a recurring basis. I don't need it to remind me to go to work every day or visit any porcelain facilities that are handy, YET.

I do, however, need to be reminded of meetings and appointments on a 'variably regular' schedule, if that makes any sense.

There is a new program out there (Kirby Alarm) that will do this but the "notes" it offers are very amateurish and hokie-looking. I would also like to have the ability to e-mail these 'notes' to colleagues or friends & family when necessary. :) Kirby Alarm doesn't yet have this functionality.

Do any of you Windows BBS folks know of such a program that may help me get and keep my life in some kind of order without me having to hire a secretary??

As always - Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    TIA -

    Mike

Hi Mike and welcome back, missed ya!

Do you have MS Outlook (not Outlook Express). If so you can set up appointments in the Calender function of Outlook and set "reminders" when you create the appointment. Very easy to do and can be done for any period of time ahead and at different times. (Your "variably regular schedule "). You can even schedule appointments at the same time on the same day. It is a very powerful application. I used it at work before I retired and found it great. :)

On the downside, if you don't have Outlook you may have to shell out a few bucks to get it. I don't know if it comes separately from MS Office.

Thanks for the link, Steve. It may take a week or two to check them all out, though. ;) Surely I can find something there that will do what I'm looking for.
