When I go to save a picture using the save as command I get a prompt saying I do not have permission for this. What is this and why do I get it. I wish to send this to D drive and instead of just d I get d21012-1716(d:) Why?
When I get several pictures together how do I save them?
    Thank You.

    woody97--
Does this happen on all sites? If only one or a few, this may be because the site(s) does not permit the copying of pictures.

"d21012-1716" If this is in the "File Name" line of a "Save In" window, it could be the name of the image on the site from which you are trying to copy. Not entirely clear what copying to drive D has to do with it. Are things any different if you try to save to a floppy or another partition?

I do not understand. Especially if you cannot copy any in the first place.

You have me somewhat confused on this one - where are you trying to save a picture from - Internet Explorer, an imaging program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or ??

Post back on this and we'll try to help you out.

    trouble with pictures

Thank You for the replies. I am using netscape 4.7 and I wished to save some pictures that were sent to me. It used to work but now it will not. What happens is I bring up the picture click on file, save as, now instead getting a page to direct the file, In this case drive d which is an rw drive but it comes up with a prompt saying I do have permission to open this file and some other stuff saying check with system administrater. I tried save as another way but still the same you do not have permission prompt. It used to work fine and you could save the file whatever drive you wanted.
The other question was how do I save or copy multiple pictures together instead of one at a time, I believe I saw somewhere that you put a / after each picture but I don`t know if that is correct.
    Thank You.

woody97--So these images that you want to save are attachments to Netscape email (or whatever that is called)? Or are they links in Netscape email?
I must bow out since I do not run Netscape>
