    hi
(please see bottom i found A FCC-ID on the psu though -- just left these codes in case they are of ANY use)
    (there are a few *plates* (~ 1/2 * 1/3 inches rectangular) which are worn out -- i'd need a micro/tele scope........)

V/^ (supposed to be an upside down v)
    VT82885N
    made in taiwan
    00F569600
(nb: the 0's might be O's cannot tell)

    BESTKEY tm
    9642K
    0123-3-H

    SMC
    FDC37C669QF P
    J9641-G444
    6H88 633-0

the following are on the outer side of the 3rd ISA slot
    <barcode>
    IFK
    216
    0 900008 444
(this same sticker (white) is on top of the psu as well)

    TANDEX
    900617

    146
    PG
// end of isa slot codes //

    UMC
    UM61<symbol>3264F-7
    9638S MM8H76
    (there are 2 of these)

there are 2 more intel pciset *plates* but they are worn and smaller writing but don't appear to repeat the 2 other intel pciset numbers/letters

between the 1st and 2nd pci slots in large white letters is:
    35-8258-03
    (written on the board itself)

same letters at the back end of the 3rd pci slot

also fwiw there *are* dip switches and finally, the p54c (100 mhz) was only in the CMOS -- the cpu has a heat sink and intel's instructions (on their Web site) are don't remove a heat sink?

i hope that some of this makes sense

    THANKS!
    sincerely
    Tanya
    P.S. here is *A* FCC-ID
actually, this is on the back of the psu (so is the bar code which is also on top of the hd):
    <barcode>
    IFK
    216
    0 900008 444

    FCC-ID
    BNX81-8308-A0
    <the 08 is smudged might be 03 or C3 -- sorry>
    model # nrv-120
(i think this is for the psu -- the other pc in the room has similar sticker but on the back of the computer not on the psu)but it states made by acer (the psu on the other pc is NOT acer-made...)

    product number:<blank space> SA LR67960
    file #: E119095
    power inPut[...]
    power output[...]
    S/N <blank space> 1H94 then the same bar code
    IFK
    216
    0 900008 444
i REALLY hope a bit of this makes sense!
    Thanks!

    thanks, Clydeo22
the above was not the reply to your post...
i removed all but the hd from the <current> pc... but i'd be glad just to hear <no memory> beep codes on it...
what i'd meant was whether the tester should be unplugged (i.e. i'd use the tester pc's psu connectors (P8 and P9) on the <current> pc's board -- if i do that however i should unplug all of the power connectors from the devices on the tester pc?)
since i was unable to even elicit "no memory" beep codes on the <current> pc a few beeps using the tester pc's psu <IMVeryHO> *could* indicate a bad psu on the <current> pc (vs. the motherBoard)
    THANKS!
    sincerely
    Tanya

Hi tanya- If I am following you correctly, you are saying that if you plug the motherboard power leads from another PCs power supply that you are indeed getting some beep codes. If this is the case, let me know, please. It's getting a little tangled with all these PCs involved, but I think you are getting somewhere. Clydeo22

    thanks very much, clydeo22!
that looks like a VERY useful Web site!
fwiw, there was a code written between the 1st and 2nd pci slots in large white letters which was:
    35-8258-03
i did a search on it <motherboards 35-8258-03> and it brought up a couple of sites with manuals (for the board) -- i have to see whether i get any reply which i doubt.
but the surplus site you posted will be / is really a help!
    many thanks!
    sincerely
    Tanya

    Hi Tanya

    Re: Motherboard ID
Glad you found all those numbers !!!???!!! :D .

Have a look at this and see if it matches your M/B:
    service.tandex.com/zips/mb520n.pdf
All the PCI/ISA slots and CPU seem to be in the right place. Not a lot of information though (and it doesn't mention (dip)switches).

    hello Matt,
thanks very much for the link to the manuel!
    it matches the motherboard completely!
aside from ensuring that all the jumper settings are correct i see the CMOS RAM clear j16 and will try that...
i'm very grateful for the help and appreciate it!
    thanks again
    sincerely
    Tanya
