When trying to open .pdf files, they sometimes will not open. I can open every other type of file just not this .pdf. Any ideas?

    Hi greengumballs

    Welcome to the forums
You say this occurs in mail as an attached file, from random individuals or from one source?
When this fails, does "Adobe Acrobat Reader" display to the screen, but remains empty, nothing happens, displays error message?
How is Adobe Acrobat Reader configured in Netscape, as a plugin or through Helper applications?
Does the "Attached .pdf file name" have two extensions.. (example) "Filename.exe.pfd "
Are you using XP operating system?

This happens with mail from random individuals.
    I use Windows 2000 Professional.
Acrobat is configured through helper applications.
    It never has two extensions.

Thanks for the quick and precise answers.
Forgot one, but will be a two part question..
When this fails, does "Adobe Acrobat Reader" display to the screen, but remains empty, nothing happens, displays error message, Helper dialog screen displayed?
When it fails, are you ever able to open it? After repeated attemps over a day or two (With mail being opened/closed/reopened).

Yea, nothing opens at all. You can't even double click (Like when I get a Microsoft Word Doc, you get the option to open) nothing happens at all. You can double click till your blue in the face, nothing happens. I have closed and reopened Netscape Mail, and waited days before trying again. Still the same.

These are tough ones, I work / then I don't work.
    Some more question.....
When you have one that does NOT work...
Can you go to a different email with one that DID work previously, does that still load and display correctly?
