Some 4/5 months ago I installed ServicePak and Security updates.

I've had no 'bobbles' from any of them and it appears to me that all updating has been performing solidly.

Therefore, with no anticipation of needing to plan/prepare for uninstalling any of them, I would like to manually delete the some 130 $NT.... uninstall directories cluttering the Windows directory.

    Is this safe to do?

    Thanks
    Jo

    Hello jtssh,

Yes, I think its safe to do so. I have burned them out. In the case of SP1, its been a year. Don't think I'll need the uninstall file :)

Do leave the ones from say, the last 6 months on.

    Regards - Charles

'Preciate hearing from one who has deleted these, Charles. Also I like your 'belt-n-suspenders' approach of buringing them out first. :)
