msn messenger 6.1 auto sign out

    my msn messenger was working fine until i've decided to update it to 6.1.

    i can sign in for about 2 seconds. then while my list is loading, i get signed out automatically. i'm pretty sure i was logged in because during those 2 seconds, my system tray icon says "signed in ".

    i've tried restarting and reinstalling.

    is there anything else i can do?

    Try this...tell it you want to "sign in as another user" then just sign in with your usual username and password. I don't know why it works but it does....sometimes.
