occasionally i receive a message asking me to insert a disk so something can be installed. the window is asking for the "Mycd.msi" file. by default it is looking in c:\hp\tmp or something. It always happens when i try to save a webpage in frontpage 2000, OR when i click to compare the folders in FolderMatch 3.3.7. how can i stop this? what might be the problem? already ran spyware cleaners

This appears to be a HP issue... not much out there. Did find this on Google/Yahoo Groups... You can take a look at this Google Search Provided the link via a Google "cache" copy for those who are not Yahoo/Group members/subscribers. Hopefully it will give you a place to start.

i checked that link you gave me, it only had two posts.. one describing the problem (identical to mine) and a reply after that by someone named Bob. He suggests "to use regedit which is a free download off the internet ", haha. he says i can use that to uninstall what i have. he doesnt seem to know what hes talking about. what else can i do?

Sorry could not find anything specific to your problem.
You could browse though this Google search for Mycd
It has I wide range of different programs pertaining to this same phrase. With out knowing what program(s) you installed, where they came from, makes it tough to narrow down.
