    Good day to all ---

I have been using Ghost for quite some time now but have run into a snag. We received new laptops that were not purchased with floppy drives. This obviously makes it difficult to make network boot disks. I Created a bootable CD-ROM and am able to perform a pcopy (src=1:1,dst=1:2) but this is not what I want. I need an actual .GHO file to make a bootable Ghost CD-ROM. When I use pdump with the same src and dst I get an error. According to Symantec this is not supported by pdump and I need to actually name the destination file. Is it possible to use pdump to dump the image of one partition to another partition on the same hard drive? I could strip open the laptop and see if I can somehow add another hard drive but I'm hoping there is an easier way to do it. Best case scenario is creating a network boot CD-ROM so I can store the .GHO file on a network share but I don’t think Ghost 7.5 corporate edition supports creating a network bootable CD-ROM. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1100 and no other computer in my network has the same NIC thus I cannot create a bootable floppy off of another computer.

    Any thoughts?

    Bart

    Hi Bart!

I don´t know if You´re aware of the Radified Guide To Norton Ghost ?

If that doesn´t provide the answer there are the Radified Forums which are more or less dedicated to Norton Ghost issues!

    Regards,
    Christer
