If you mean when surfing using IE. Go to tools, internet options, advanced tab. Under Browsing, uncheck, "Display notification for every script error "..

Checked in Tools and found the item u mentioned is UNCHECKED.
This message popped up when I was in a help menu and tried to go further into a problem, then this script pops up. Maybe when I re-boot it will a come back ok again, who knows.

    Thanks

If not, ntchowto.chm is one of the main help files and it could have gotten damaged.

I'd try start~run~sfc /scannow with the windows install disk in place if you are running 2K or XP.

BTW - this isn't an IE/OE issue and should be moved to the proper OS section. What are you running?

Newt ran the sfc /scannow again and nothing happened. It was a new error message with regards to the help area again:

    Line 519

everything was the same up to: \HELP\(now its the following file)snap_iexpl oremaint.htm

What are my other options. I did just install KERIOS FIREWALL Today v 2.15. Could that effected it.
    Need some additional directions

Look in your event logs - application and system. Hopefully you will find an error or warning triggered by the scripting thing.

If so, open it/them, click on the icon below the up/down arrows (send a text copy to your clipboard) and post the results here.

    Newt.
    Open upC:\WINNT\system32\config\SysEvent.Evt

C:\WINNT\system32\config\AppEvent.Evt and couldn't find the error that I discribed to you.
    Sorry
