Delphi is a Rapid Application Development programming environment that uses Pascal.

Some program you installed was made with this compiler and whoever compiled the code seems to have used a trial version. The only 'fix' I know of is to remove the offending program.

It will be some 3rd party application and not Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer (you didn't specify) if you have a normal Microsoft OS load.

If the error just started, what new software have you installed? Also a check of your event logs might give that bit of detail.

It happens double-click "My Computer" or My Network Places" or try to open the control panel, so I can't remove any programs.

I can remove programs in 'safe' mode. How do I look at my event log?

Quickest way for me is right-click My Computer then left-click Manage and you should see the event log section. Check both System and Applications sections and you might want to filter so you don't see informational or success audit messages.

Don't see anything relevant in the event viewer. Another box comes up after I click OK on the first:

explorer.exe had generated errors and will be closed by windows. An error log is being generated.

Any idea on where to find that error log?

Usually an event log entry. Also, if DrWatson is loaded, a log file from it as well.

start~run~drwtsn32 and if the debugger is installed you'll get a window that gives the log file locations (should be a drwatson and a user log file usually).

Don't seem to have dr. watson installed.

I've noticed that the same error occurs with IE as well.

Got Dr watson to run. Doesn't appear to be anything about these in the log file, probably since they are not crashes.

Is there any way I can get Dr. Watson to log an event like this?

It's supposedly already set to alert using popups. Maybe one of those popups is coming from Dr. Watson?

I'm beggining to suspect it's a problem with windows itself. I have removed or upgraded just about all the software.

Finally found the problem. It turned out to be some spyware called "CPR" that spybot missed.

Thanks very much to everyone who replied!!
