Windows 98 message box

    All message boxes in Windows 98 display lucinda handwriting font.Changing font in 'Active desktop'-customize desktop' does not change font.Solution please.

    Go into Control Panel\Display Properties, click on Appearance tab. You will see Message Box there, click on the words Message Text, then look below and you will see the fonts selection.
    BTW, disable Active Desktop. If you are using it to display a JPG file as wall paper, convert it to a BMP file instead.

    You might want to try changing the font there, then change it to what you want. Windows does have flaws, it shows one thing and you are getting another.

    Active Desktop is a resource hog, meant to show stuff like stock tickers, news, weather reports, etc. Right click on the Desktop. then go to Active Desktop, uncheck View as Web Page.
