what would you expect ot happen when you do this: first, right click any directory in the all programs section of the start menu, and then click Open or Explore.

usually it should directly open up a windows explorer box with the contents of that folder. Instead, my computer will pop up the
"Move Items" dialog box. this dialog says this: "Select the place where you want to move 'System'. Then click the Move button." where it says 'system' in quotes like that is the folder i right clicked on. why is it asking me to move when i just wnat to open it? i am postive i only clicked on Open or Explore, and am positive it happens EVERY single time. all i ahve to do is press cancel on that box and THEN the folder opens up. what can i do to correct this?

How did you do it originally?

If you used a tweaking program, undo it with that.

You can download and install X-Setup and find the tweak in that ( it is the same one) and undo it there:

    http://www.xteq.com/

The manual directions for adding the tweak are here if you want to restore the keys manually:

    http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/tune-22.html

You need not restore the keys to default---you can simply delete them.
