I hope someone can help me. I can play downloaded audio files and MP3's but I no longer have system sounds. I also don't have sound for my ATI tv. Several so-called computer expersts have checked out my computer - audio drivers and sound cards have been reinstalled - but still nothing. This problem started about 3 weeks ago.

    thanks

    Hi Koshi:

Might want to check in your BIOS, if you are running a sound card you need to disable onboard sound.

    Hope this helps:

    Start > Run:
    regedit

    Click HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

In the right pane you will see a REG_SZ entry with null components.

Right-click and delete it (it will be replaced immediately by XP with the correct value).

Close regedit and try your sounds.
