    Hey guys...:D

I just bought a MSI K7N2 ultra MB, and an AMD XP2500 cpu.

I'm gonna take out my old MB/cpu and install the new ones. Then I'm just gonna hook everything else back up (sound card, harddrive, video card, floppy, CDRW...ect.) and boot it up.

Are there any problems that might occur?...Thanks

Basically, from what I can tell, I have two choices. I can do it this way...Shutdown the machine, remove the existing motherboard. Install the new one and put all your PCI cards in and hook everything up. Boot into Safe Mode and go into Device Manager and remove EVERYTHING. Then reboot into Windows normally and let everything redetect. or...

    this way...Mobo Update
To change out a Mobo and have minimum problems do the following:
Open the Hardware Profile tab of the System Control Panel.
Create a new profile by copying the existing. Give it any name you want.
I ususally rename the "Original Configuration" profile but you don't have to.
    Shutdown and change out Mobo.
When system comes back up you will get a Profile selection screen. Select the one about "New" profile. This will cause a totally new profile to be built.
Once you get back where you can get to the "System Control Panel" you can delete both the old profiles.

I always have all the drivers and the Windows CAB files loaded on the hard drive before I start this, makes it go a lot faster.

Has anyone tried either method? Thanks
