I have a hard-drive from another computer. Is it possible that i can use both for one computer/ Also, if that isnt possible, how do I check to see if the hard-drive is still in good opeerating condition.

I do music and i want to use this drive if it is larger but I have no way of knowing. The person I got the PC from said the hard-drive worked but it the computer went blank when they uninstalled the OS. (it ran 98se)

    Thanks

Yes. There is a second plug on both the ribbon and the power supply. You will need to set it as the slave.

Note: When connecting the Ribbon Cable, make sure the red stripe connects next to the power connection. Otherwise your PC will only hang until you sort it out. Also, for instructions on how to set a drive as Master or slaove, look on the hard drive itself. The jumper settings are usually illustrated on the top.

    Thanks.

Will I have to make a new partition or what? I am asking because i want to know how do I access the other drive and what is the process once I get it hooked up.

Will I need to load win98se into it? I sound confused? Probably. Just dont want to ***** things up with my PC.

    Thanks.

The second drive, if functioning, will be recognized when the PC boots up and will be visible and accessable from 'My Computer'.
