    Hello,

I am using Netscape 7.1. Jpeg and giff images used to be displayed automaticaly in the thumbnail view when I opened the netscape cache folder. This is no longer happening. Only the microsoft Icon appears in the thumbnail view. I had a similar problem with images in regular folders but with help from this site I was able to fix the problem by running IE_Repair. I tried this again but it does not fix the cache folder. If I customize the cache folder to include the image preview on the left side of the screen an image will appear there if it is an image file. When I double click the icon I am asked how I would like the file opened. When I chose the correct image viewer the file opens in its own window if it is a jpeg or giff file. Other then that there is know way of knowing if the icon is an image file of a text file. Any suggestions.
By the way this is a great site just to browse. Lots of good info.

    Thanks
    Troof

Same here. All the icons are Microsoft's, although NS7.1 is the default browser. And, they just sit there taking HD space.

Even though I am not sure about this I thought I should mention it any how. I think this problem is only happening since I upgraded to NS 7.1 from NS 4.73 . I really don't remember if the icons ever appeared in the cache after I installed NS 7.1. They did appear in NS 4.73.
