Should your ISP's be listed in the Connection Menu under Dial Up While the ISP is not online? Mine does not- there is no Dial up section when off line. Is this a XP problem or IE6.0 problem or is this normal?

Which menu specifically are you referring to?

The ISP's dialup should be listed in both the Network Connections folder and in the Connections section of Internet Options whether you are on or off line.

But if you have software that was installed from your ISP, it may be set up differently.

Ok, my ISP is JUNO and I can only access it's firewall setting while on line via the Control panel/Network Connections Menu/JUNO Properties. The "dial up" portion of the Network Connections Menu only shows up when JUNO is running. I must activate the XP firewall each time I start up JUNO since the settings do not save (remain set) when I exit the JUNO program. Is this a Windows XP problem or IE6.0?

From your description and that on their site, the Juno software manages your connection rather than XP. It may even have its own dialup adapter.

    My dialup stays put.

Thanks- I can't get an answer on this from JUNO tech support, I guess this is due to asking other questions at the same time. EX: JUNO auto disables XP Firwall due to IP address conflicts- I'm also getting an additional Connection dial up menu to appear when JUNO starts up. JUNO experts want me to reinstall/fix IE6.0 via add/remove IE6.0 & select "fix ". The other sugguestion is to RUN sfc/scannow which is suppose it reinstall IE6.0. I haven't attempted these steps until I get USADATANET experts to respond to the uninstall problem I'm having with PROPEL ACC. "cache" web page software. JUNO/IE 6.0 can't access web pages w/o PROPEL activated.
All this fun on a 60 day old laptop!
