    Hello Forum,

Friend is using Netscape 7.1, recently upgraded from 4.5(?). Her ISP changed her email address from xxx@smith.net to xxx@blue.net. Since then she has not been able to log on to her email through Netscape (by clicking the inbox icon in the lower right corner). Her roommate's email works fine (also uses Netscape for her email). Even when she Goes to Netscape home page and clicks on "MAIL," it tells her the password is invalid. She can go through webmail offered by provider and get it that way, but something is blocking her from logging on the regular way. She has talked extensively with the ISP and is experiencing lots of frustration so I thought we'd try this route. Is it something with setting up her email account on 7.1? It worked before her ISP switched her email ending, she says. I have not ever used two email accounts on Netscape, so I thought maybe that might be something to look at. Since I am unfamiliar with this I thought I'd ask on here. Many thanks for any input.

    Hi Lyle,

Have you double checked all the Server Settings here:
Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings
If you can't open Open Mail & Newsgroups Online, try opening Offline.

Ensure that everything is correctly entered, and no typo's.

Next check in Tools | Password Manager |
    Manage Stored Passwords
Delete the Password for the offending Mail Account
Try to log into Mail again

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

    Ramona :D

Thanks for your reply, Ramona! I will pass this on to my friend. Hope it helps. If not, I reckon you'll hear from me again!
