    Hey all.

I have a Dlink wireless 714+ router and am using the wired connections for this discussion, not the wireless although the same problems exist there as well.

When I use either Kazaa Lite++ or emule or edonkey or any sharing program normally, meaning with the cable modem connected directly via USB to the PC or ethernet thru a regular hub or even a ethernet card on the pc itself, the progs fly, great speeds great amounts of sources, it is amazing to see what the cable modem can do, as I am sure all of you know.

When I connect it via the wireless router, they barely work, they connect but I will have at most 2 sources for a typical song or video that in the search states that there are 50 sources for. I have tested this quite a bit and the same thing always happens.

Now I have updated the firmware on the router to the newest, I have opened all the ports required as per the d link support site, and I have emailed them on their support site, and they said to upgrade the firmware. I already did it, and I am confused. I have tried putting a machine in their "DMZ" but that didnt help at all either. Any ideas? if you need any info I can post back. Thanks.
    EDIT***
Almost forgot to add, this is a cable modem with a good speed, and normal downloads are good, no problems with other things other than the filesharing stuff.

Since your wired stuff is working OK and since for the moment, this forum is wireless-impared, I'll have to suggest the same as I have for several other recent wireless issues. You will probably do better to post your question to a forum that specializes in wireless broadband issues.

All of these are specialty forums and all have currently active threads.

When you get things sorted out and running, please post back with what you did and where you had good luck getting answers.
