connecting a windpws pro computer to server 2003

Hello All:

I cannot connect my windos XP workstation to server 2003. Everytime I attempt to join the domain I get the following:

a domain controller for the domain stone-and-stone.com could not be contacted.

ensure that the domain name is typed correctly

if it typed correctly go to details: details provides the following:

an error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) respurce record to locate a domain controller for domain stone-and-stone.com

The error was "No records for given query "

The query was for the SRV record for_ldap_tcp_dc_msdcs stone-and-stone.com

Can someone please give me detailed instructions of how to fix this, thanks for any and all responses.
