My daughter had both 98 and 2000 and removed some programs on 98, including files that "were no longer in use by other programs." Since then, her 2000 doesn't recognize her CD, DVD, and Zip drives. 98 still does. Her fax machine isn't working, either, but we don't know if that is related or not.
Any suggestions besides paying Microsoft $249 to help her out?

    Ouch!!!

Does she still need to dual-boot 2000 and 98?

And no, in this case you will do at least as well here as if you paid for a M$ support case and we are lots cheaper. :D

I don't know about the dual-boot, but I'll ask her. Thanx for your interest, Newt.
