Help, I have tried to load 2000 repeatedly and everytime during the load it tells me that it cannot copy some files. It says that they could be corrupt or the disc may be bad. I have tried using another 2000 disc just to make sure and still get the same thing. The machine that I am loading on is one I built so I thought maybe I had some internal conflict and have since checked my entire setup and still cannot load. I also replaced every piece of hardware with a new one motherboard, vid card, ect. still no good.
Took it to a computer repair shop and had them supposedly fix it still the same problem. I have checked compatability issues no problem there. I have tried rebooting during the process because it says win 2000 can learn from its mistakes my version hasnt learned anything. If anyone has any more ideas please let me know I will try anything. I have tried operating it on the bad loads and it just doesnt do well anytime I try load a program it spits out files saying cant copy them same as the initial 2000 load.
This is what im running now:
    1 gig intel celeron
DFI Motherboard-CA64-TC (has onboard sound card)
    Nvidia TNT Video Card
Maxtor 5400 rpm 20 Gig Hard Drive

This is what the original machine was before changing everything:
    1 Gig celeron
Abit SA6r motherboard (onboard vid and sound)
Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm 40 gig Harddrive.

    Thanks for any help:confused:

Did you check your RAM? Try reseating/removing modules or get something guaranteed to work with your board.

Try copying the entire windows 2000 cd to the formatted hard drive in DOS. Use XTreeGold if you have it (yes... old but effective!!) or just use the xcopy command.

Then try running setup from the hard drive.

Lemme know how you go on mate. Hope this helps!
