This is probably a weird request, but does anyone know how to increase the size (depth) of the attachment window in a new message.
I’ve found the easiest way to save old e-mail is to attach all the selected files that I want to save to a new message and save the message somewhere else. With over 200 messages in one file the window increased to show only 3 subject lines. Before I start archiving and storing them I’d like to get the attachment window to show at least 10 lines or more if it’s not to difficult.
    Thanks

OE folders act weird when they get too full. Why not save your attachments in a folder in "My Doc" and copy and paste text? Might be easier to find what you're looking for down the road.

The way I’m saving them seems to work well.
Saving on CD Labeled E-Mail >the date I moved them>the folder (persons name, organization, Flagged etc.) >Folder Sent or received. I use 1 mail message for each folder. It saves the e-mail attachments, links, and text. I’ve already moved 35mb to the CD. Some date back to 1997. The small attachment window makes a little difficult scanning the saved e-mails.
    Thanks Anyway

Thanks PeteC, that's where I found how to use the new message to save the e-mail and after "saving as" - file name and location, I delete the new message and delete the e-mail out of the folder where I copied them from.

Pete C- good link. Describes a very easy way of saving OE to cd. Another tip I have is to store your dbx files on a different partition than your OS. At best, you can import them after you reinstall XP, at worst, you can crack them using an extraction software. But, if your email is really that important to you, the cd route is the way to go.

It is rare, but occasionally I want to look up something or someone several years back and I want to get my regular e-mail back down to workable size. I also can retrieve my normally used e-mail from duplicate copy backup of my hard drive. I just thought someone might know how to increase the size of the attachment window in a new message.

Well, I’ve found a way to view all the e-mails in a sent file. I’ve made a folder called "Open Bin" and open an e-mail file> highlight all the attachment e-mails> drag them to the "Open Bin" folder. They open quickly and you can see the subject line and size of the e-mail. The dates all show a new file (whitch doesn't help) and ones with out a subject show as (1).eml, (2).eml, etc. You can usually tell by the size of the e-mail if there is an attachment with it. Then delete them out of the open bin.
