Sure! Just trash your current computer and buy a new 64-bit system!

Oh... that's not called "upgrade" right?

    So no, you can't upgrade.

    32 to 64 bit

Arie: Thanks for your reply, even though it sounded a little sarcastic

I did however subscribe, and would have done it sooner if I knew about it.

Sorry, wasn't ment to be sarcastic... not to you....

In the old days 286 / 386 / early Pentium systems, nearly every time a new piece of software came out, you where out of luck.... it always required the latest hardware!

Seems the HW vendors found a new one! Push 64-bit, and most of your current stuff will be obsolete!

That was the 'focus' of my sarcasm....

I'm waiting til MS ships Longhorn in late 2K6. Then I'll get the 64-bit CPU and all the latest doodads. As much as I love my Velociraptor, it'll be an old guy in 2 more years and won't be able to keep anymore.

You need totally different hardware to run the current 64-bit versions of XP (Itanium-based hardware)

If you are currently running an AMD Athlon64 or Opteron, then in a few months, you will be able to obtain a 64-bit version of Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 for the AMD64 platform. I would recommend a clean install at that time.
