    hello,
I just had this machine reformatted and the tech did not return all my old settings. I'm figuring out most of them but can not find/remember how to have my "drop down" menus fully expand.

as in "word" or "outlook" the file or edit list are abbreviated and show that double arrow at the bottom.

    I prefer the full list

any help on what "setting" I need to select.....?

    thanks

    mike

    Hello Mike!

In Word, click Show > Toolbar > Customize > Options and tick / untick the appropriate boxes. The same goes for Excel and others too I would think.

Just to add to Christer's response:

Right click menu bar>Customize>Options then uncheck "Menu's show recently used commands first ". That should do it for you. Repeat in Excel, Access etc.:)
