Game staggers during cinematics between races, and whenever I get to a certain level it simply crashes to the desktop. I turn off all of my virus protection while playing. I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have downloaded all of the most up to date drivers for my hardware. This is frustrating. Any help? My system info is in the signature.

Have you checked the minimum hardware/software requirements for the game? Processor may be a tad slow?

    Agreed

You are correct, it is a touch under reccemendations, however it plays during the actual gameplay without a hitch, until I complete about 47% of the game, and then it simply crashes to the desktop.............

According to This spec sheet, your CPU is slightly above the minimum for running the game so I'd expect it to work but probably not real well.

Given your symptoms, I wonder about your video. 32Mb VRAM minimum and 64Mb recommended.

To add to Newt's post - I see from the spec sheet you need Directx9 - do you have this loaded?
