I used a free sample program on Yahoo called Spyhunter.
It checks for junk free, but to remove the junk you have to
buy the program. It found 3 bad registries, but only gave part of the address in the computer, so my question is...

How do I get to the registry to remove the junk?

I'm running XP Home Edition on a Gateway Laptop.
I had my firewall on and haven't opened any crazy mail.
The sample program gave a partial address of

    HKEY_CURRE... and HKEY_CLASSE...

    any help would be appreciated.
    regards, flatfoot

    Hi Flatfoot:

Without a doubt, the best program for removing junk from the Registry, freeware or otherwise, BAR NONE, is jv16 PowerTools, which just happens to be Freeware.

    Hello BreezyCricket,

"Without a doubt, the best program for removing junk from the Registry "

Agreed, but it's no longer freeware. The supported version went shareware a few months ago.

The last free version can be downloaded from here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1680

    Regards - Charles
