    Hi all,

How do I get the dial-up connection status icons back in my system tray?

I am running 98se on two machines. I recently upgraded the Earthlink "total access" software on both just in order to get some features. I still just use the basic IE6 and a dialup connection.

Everything works fine on both machines with one exception. The dial-up connection status icons no longer appear in the system tray on one machine. Internet connection works fine, I just don't have the little flashing icons showing traffic or the convenient reminder I am still connected and the convenient "disconnect button ".

So how do I get them back? Anybody know? I tried deleting the dial-up connection and recreating it. Still no icons.

    Thanks
    Byron

Go to Start\Programs\Accessories\Communications\Dial Up Networking. Then in that window, go to the toolbar at Connections\Settings. You will see what you are looking for appear right in front of you, Show an icon on Taskbar after connected.

Thanks! That got it! That is what I was looking for, but for some reason I just couldn't see it.
