java help pls?

    i'm trying to load the yahoo java chat rooms but they won't load and say i should get a new VM....i've downloaded the VM from the java site and still nothing...am on windows XP.
    ...can anyone help?

    Are you running any ad blockers? Are you blocking pop up windows with any other software? I had the same problem until I realized NIS was blocking the Java needed for Yahoo chat. The error messages just had me running in circles.
