I have several issues with the computer. have scanned for virus's and trojans.. none detected either online or thru installed software.

I am able to go to the microsoft update website and my computer is scanned for updates. When I go to install, the webpage update dialog box shows up but no updates are being downloaded.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
    Dave

This should work. At the top of your browser click tools then choose internet option's. Then on the General page click delete cookies. After this is done click on Delete files and choose delete all offline content option and ok it. After these step's are complete then on the General page choose clear history. Once all these step's are done retry the windows updates and it should work ok.
