I have set up my primary email account to be accessible at both work and my home. I usually get to my work computer before I go home in the evening. Even though I have my work Account set up with "Leave Copy of Message on Server" it still deletes them from the server. It did not always do this. I have OE 6 at work and OE 5.5 at home.

With the recent spam onslaught I had (successfully) set up some severe Message Rules at both locations but unchecked them all as part of an effort to solve this problem. Now I get 150 messages at work (145 are "MS Update" related) but an hour later only about 4 or 5 at home. So, the work OE did delete them from the server.

I did check with Earthlink and they confirmed that do honor the "leave copy of message on server" command.

I am not sure what to do next! Is this something that IE Repair could fix? A registry issue?

I was worried about third partysoftware but I do run Spybot and Adaware weekly and NAV is always on.

    Thanks, LarryB

The simple(?) solution is the one that I use when retrieving email away from home on my laptop. I forward it to myself and pick it up on the desktop.

Hi Pete, that is actually what I have been doing in order for me to get that mail at home. However, I would like to not have to do that (and I shouldn't have to if OE worked right). Thanks, LarryB
