    Hi,

Is there a tweak that would allow you to disable or eliminate the cancel button on the log on screen in ME OS? We have gremlins in our office. Most of the other computers are running XP Pro or 2k in our office, and I have sucessfully password protected all of them, but mine is running ME, and I can not seem to get it to dissallow unauthorized users to boot the thing. If someone presses the cancel button the computer boots.

I am the head estimator of a masonry company, and I need to password protect my computer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi

Even if there was and I dont think there is ,it can be very easaly
    bypassed,,
Might be best to just take the PC power plug with you, or hid it.

I will try it tomorrow morning if I have time (I have a meeting to sell a job in the morning at 8:30) AM, I printed the hack out, it is in my briefcase, when I get time, I will configure it. (after backing up my data ;~) ) And I will post the results sometime tomorrow or the next day.

    thanks

the reg hack did not work. I could bypass the logon screen by hitting the cancel button even with the reg hack.

    Thanks for the suggestion anyway
