    System Information provides the following, is this a problem, and if so, what action should be taken?
    Win 98, 256 ram, and I’m no guru……so please keep it simple, like my mind.

    You should have a CD for the motherboard or main board, all the drivers you need for it are on there.

    Just put it in your CD-Rom drive and autorun should kick in. Follow the prompts and re-install the drivers.

    On the other hand if the PC is running ok you could leave it alone...

    If you have the CD, look for a folder called Win9x patch. This patch is required on some systems (why only some I don't know, just that it is only some). Run this patch, then try running the installation CD. If you don't have the CD, I can e-mail it to you, but be warned: it wil be a total of 641MB. You would probably be better off asking the dealer for a CD, or even simply downloading the files yourself from the motherboard manufacturer's website. I cannot mail the CD to you, as it would most likely be stolen by someone either in the post ofice, or in customs. Theft of post is rife here, and even if it's not stolen, somethings have taken over 18 months to arrive. I remember one person received something in time for X-mas last year - that was actually sent for X-mas '00! While uncommon, this sort of thing is not unheard of here.

    Many Thanks for your comments and help, it's good to see we still have a couple of Gurus out there.

    I plan to get the CD and patch, if only to see if makes the machine better, thou it is running rather well (at the moment):D
