    I recently replaced my computer that had a purchased XP on it with a new one with an OEM XP Home on it
    =================================

    Once a day I get a dialog box with:

    Windows File Protection

    Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced
    by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must
    restore the original versions of these files.

    Insert ______ your now. ( that ____ represents a blank)

    RETRY MORE INFORMATION CANCEL
    =================================

    Then after hitting Retry the the XP disk in I got another box
    ============================================

    The CD you provided is the wrong CD. Please insert the ______ into your CD-Rom drive

    I have the same problem. Finally I inserted the disk prior to doing a SFC and it accepted it, check completed.

    I'm assuming you are doing a System File Check. Thst should take care of the file you are being notified that is not correct.
