    Yes there is.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Tweakui is on the right side of page:
    http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

This will be available in the program menu and does not have a control panel icon. However there is a tweak that wll put an icon in the control panel.

I think it's on "kellys Korner" site but I will have to go look for it.

Guess picard was was faster on the buzzer. :D

    ==========
Here's the control panel icon tweak:

TweakUI - Add TweakUI Icon to the Control Panel. Download the Regedit here. To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Man I could so use that smart file sorting thing! I hate when you have file 8 and 10 and it puts 10 before 8. It's like can't you do math you stupid thing? But when the Alt+Tab thing is to resize a window, how do you switch windows now? Sorry if I seem hyper.

Others have provided the link for TweakUI 2.10 (the version written for XP) but TweakUI 1.33 also works well with XP.

2.10 provides more features than 1.33 does, but 1.33 has a couple that 2.10 doesn't. The nice thing is that they can be run side by side, if desired. 1.33 also provides features with XP that it didn't with 9x.

Well, MS says you need to uninstall 1.33 before installing 2.10, and I remember that I couldn't install 2.10 before removing 1.33, so I don't know if running the two together would be such a good idea...

    Arie ...

Actually, what MS says is "You must uninstall your old PowerToys before installing the new ones ", but that doesn't seem to apply to TweakUI.

I don't know why you were unable to install 2.10 without removing 1.33, as I've run them side by side in several XP Pro installations on three different machines, with no problems.

I think many people don't differentiate between PowerToys and TweakUI. TweakUI is one part of PowerToys. How do you keep the 1.33 version of TweakUI while installing the other 1.33 PowerToys?

There's nothing that says you have to install all the PowerToys, and keep in mind that they're installed individually.

The only one I've ever installed is TweakUI ... the others are of no interest to me. Despite what Arie says, I've never had any difficulty running both 1.33 and 2.10 together (numerous installations of XP Pro on three different computers).

The other one besides TweakUI I like is the Send To Any Folder toy. I hope something like this is included in 2.10.

It doesn't seem to be. Because the original PowerToys were updated to work with NT, I thought Send to X also might work with XP, but even though it shows up in the Control Panel Add/Remove list, it doesn't appear on any context menu.

I used Win98's Send to ... the way I use XP's Open with .... If I want to copy or move a file/folder, it's easier (for me :D) to right-click and drag in Windows Explorer.

That's odd, I installed powertoys "Sendtox" and I have no problem with the context menu. Got my much used "send to any folder" function on a rightclick. ????

    Arie ...

Do you have to type in the path to the folder you want to move or copy to, or can you browse to it?

    Ann ...

Don't know what to say, but it doesn't work on my system. Tried both logging off and back on, and rebooting ... no joy in either case.

    Both of you ...

My context menus are overcrowded, as it is ... I really don't need more superfluous entries. :D
