    Hello,
Just installed XP Home on my desktop computer and went to a dos prompt and typed in "control userpasswords2" and cleared the checkbox that said "users must enter a name and password" and now on boot up I can not login at all. The message error is "Unable to log you on because of an account restriction ". How do I get back in? I never did set up a password--and none I ever used seems to work anyway.
    Gene

PS--I can get into the computer thru my network--so where would I change something?

BTW--everthing was working ok before I went to dos and changed things

Boot into Safe Mode (hit F8), logon as administrator and change it back using control userpasswords2.

If you uncheck "users must enter a name and password" you cannot use the default administrator account (in XP Home) - enter your username and password instead.
