Ramona, you seem to be high on the list for knowledge about Netscape and Mozilla browsers, so I have a question for you or anyone else knowledgeable of this browser.

I must say, I like the new Firebird 0.6.1 browser a lot.

The only annoying problem I have encountered is often times when clicking on the "bookmarks" icon at the top, the "Imported Favorites From IE" folder appears to be open but no entries appear.

I am going to assume this is a bug.

If not, please let me know how to get around this.

    TIA :)

    Hi Daddad,

I have very limited knowledge of Firebird to date. I've tried to run the browser, and it was so crash prone on my system, that I gave up on it.

    The Release Notes do say:
Menus and folders on the bookmark toolbar do not always collapse correctly for Mozilla Firebird users on Windows.

I've done some searches, but haven't come up with anything specific to your problem with the IE Favorites Folder. Lots of problems with Bookmarks in general, however.

It will be sometime before Mozilla Firebird is as stable as the 1.4 trunk or 1.5 branch of Mozilla. Mozilla Firebird 0.7 was to be released this week, but it seems to be running a little behind schedule.

Hopefully a Mozilla Firebird user will come along and let you know if they too are experiencing problems with Bookmarks.

    Ramona :D

I recently downloaded Firebird and ran into the same issue. I've also noticed it in folders that I have created (on occasion). Other that this small problem I have really enjoyed using Firebird.

I did notice that if you close the browser and reopen it the problem corrects itself . Hopefully they'll get this small annoyance worked out soon. :)

The problem appears to strike after an addition is made to the Boomarks but, as Xeroid stated closing and then re-opening the browser fixes things.

Glad I read this. I was just about to download it, but
now I'm going to wait, since NS 7.0 is not giving me any problems

I installed Firebird .7 and the problem I was having with .6 has been fixed in this version.
The bookmarks seem to be collapsing back as they should.
    (fingers crossed) :D
Great little browser, I like it :)

I have been using MozFirebird since it first became available, and I found it remarkably stable. I had never paid any attention to the IEFav which I have as folder in my Personal Toolbar, but I can say that everything is there, and available in MozFirebird0.7.
