Changing My Computer Description

    Hey everyone, I need help Changing My Computer description in Windows XP Home Edition. I used to be able to and now for some reason it will not. I Just want to make it Say Drew's Laptop or something cool like that but I don't know how to do this..If you can help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

    Right click on My Computer, click on Properties. Go to the Computer Name tab, make the change in the "Computer description" field, click OK to save the change.

    Still Doesn't Work

    Hey Miz, Thanks for the reply but when I try and type something there in the "Computer Descriotion" Fielld, It still does not let me..That's why I posted this thread the first time. Thank you for your help anyway. If you could maybe help more I would be very apprecative. Thanks,

    The description is stored in the registry so you can probably change it directly if you want.

    HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/lanmanserver/parameters/
    and modify the value of srvcomment
