I recently navigated C:\Windows\System32\wbem\logs. I was wondering if the contents of each log file could be deleted without causing any damage to the system? If not which files contents can be deleted safely. Thanks for the help again. I'm running WinXP Pro.

Why? The files should be fairly small in size.

At a guess, if all goes well you could probably do without the content of the various wbem log files. But some of the help and repair tools likely read the contents of one or more of those files to do their work.

You can probably get details by doing some google searching for WMI, WBEM, etc. if it's worth the effort to you. For me, just leaving the contents in place seems to make the most sense.

ij50 i use the reg tool in system mechanic and it always list those files as invalid. i contacted there support to ask them about them. i have since lost their reply but they said it was safe to delete them. i have deleted them with no problems but new ones always seem to reappear.
