    Hi,
My wife has been using Outlook 2000 successfully for some time, with a normal Email account. Now we set up another account from a different provider, for a business venture. Both accounts can send and receive mail OK. What DOESN "T work is this: I have added a column named "ACCOUNT" to the Inbox list, and nothing shows up there! (I want an indication to which of the two Mail Accounts the incoming message was addressed.) ......... I think I have seen this done before; any ideas? TIA/ Greg.

Instead of trying to create a custom field why not just use the 'To' field?

Right click on the bar showing the field names and select Customize Current View, click on Fields and add the 'To' field to the right hand pane. You can change the order of the fields by clicking and dragging.

OK, I will try that. Sounds like a good idea. Maybe that's how I saw it set up before. Thanks Kevin.

You can also set up two folders and put in rules that direct all new posts to one or the other depending on who the post is address to.

Basically, nothing would ever stay in the normal inbox but would be immediately moved to the other inbound folder.

Thanks everybody.... Kevin, I am using your suggestion and it serves my need OK. Newt, your idea makes sense but it is a little more elaborate than I need. .......... Basically, it just puzzles me when an application feature I apparently understand, does not function as I would expect. That is, Outlook allows me to set up a field for "Account," but returns no data there. A puzzler, but not anything major.
