Has anyone had experience with using Internet Explorer 6 with
Windows 98? Any conflicts or problems?

No problems with Internet Explorer Service Pack 1, which is the latest version available.
There was some problems with IE6 and 98 when it first came out, which is why there is the SP1 version.
    It works.

Eleanor316--Have you been to Windows Update recently? If not, several Critical updates may be suggested.

    Wiser words never got spoken!

May I suggest you focus your use of IE on running System Update and as little else as possible? That's where it really shines, as Microsoft shall not allow you to update Windows using any other browser.

For less critical work, like cruising the net and doing email, it may be a good idea to use less tentacular alternatives like Opera or Mozilla that do not interact as deeply, inextricably and unfathomably with all the rest of the operating system as IE does.

It's not worth risking your PC's security for anything less critical and unavoidable than System Update.
