How long has this been happening? Were you ever able to send mail using this account?
Have you ran an updated virus scan?
    Have you tried rebooting?

Sometimes it will actually send and sometimes I get that message of not enough memory. it' s not my computer. I was just adding a dialup for a firend and now the this. the dialup works great.
Oh now i was also getting something of a "program error" popup saying "svchost.exe has generated errors & will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program" error log created.
I am going to look for the error log on his computer . not on that one right now.
That message was after having sent 3 messages successfully and thinking it was all working okay and then it happened again. did a complete virus scan on the computer earlier today and no viruses found at all. Also did a cold boot.
I think it must have to do with the setup for the default email program maybe? Using outlook express but msoutlook is also on there and not all the components to it are there for some reason.
sorry this is so long. trying to answer all you asked and give more info about what happens.
    thanks:confused:

Suggest you uninstall Outlook - if it won't because some files are missing, re-install it and then uninstall it.

Give it a try - it may solve that problem.

Post length is no problem providing that it is all relevant - no apologies necessary :)

Thank you! i'll have to get the software from the person who owns the computer then and re-do it i guess. Oh I wonder if i need to download some patch for that windows 2000 professional. could thast have been any part of the problem? I read something on someone elses post about something similar.
